Whether it's teaching, cooking, crafting, decorating or thrifting, I'm always on the
look out for a project that will keep me busy!
Hello, everyone! I'm Blair Clark,
and I am a busy girl!
Completing Swamp Foot with my church - 4 miles of obstacles and mud!
Life, for me anyway, is so full. Full of joy, full of wonder, full of twists and turns... and full of activity! In my life, I play so many different roles; I am a wife, a teacher, dog mother to the world's best chocolate lab, wanna-be-chef, recipe collector, bargain hunter, crafter, painter, novice photographer (heavy on the novice!), writer, marriage-ministry leader, Sunday school teacher... did I miss anything? Oh yeah, and blogger!
At the cider mill with Phoebe!
I began this blog with the idea that it would be a way for me to catalog my recipes, projects, and general observations of life and to share them with other busy girls out there like me. As I said, my life is busy and full, but I must frequently remember to stop and ask myself, "What am I filling it with?"
Best day of my life, marrying John Paul!
So, my fellow Busy Girl, I'll pose the same question to you: What are you filling your busy life with? Stress and fatigue? Peace and well-being? Chaos? Order? Whichever scenario you live is up to you, as long as you realize you have a choice.
Hiking through the "red rocks" of the Arizona desert!
Let's face it; the world expects women to do a lot with a little. We have countless responsibilities and obligations, deadlines and due dates to satisfy and also our personal wants and desires (which probably end up last on everyone's prioritized list!) The majority of us are trying to get all of this accomplished on a budget; I certainly am.
Cheering on my alma mater's football team with my dad and step-mom!
Fire up, Chips!
But life is about spending your gifts, not spending your money. Spend time helping people, spend time playing with your kids, spend time loving your spouse and spend time doing what brings you joy. You might not be able to have all of the material things you want out of this world but you certainly can have all of the meaningful things - if you're willing to get just a little creative.
Peeking over the Cliffs of Moher on the coast of Ireland.
No time to be scared, too busy loving it!
Keep up that busy, beautiful and blessed life, my friends.
~Blair
